EQUIPMENt

The sport of indoor mat bowling uses slightly different equipment compared to other forms of bowling. Below is a list of the equipment used at JJ Mat Bowling.

- 8 custom made 45' blue and red mats

 

- 8 sets of foot mats

 

- 8 sets of fenders and blocks

 

- 16 new sets of bowls size 0 and size 3

 

- 8 super heavy yellow jacks

 

- 8 score boards

 

- 4 mat handlers

 

HOW TO DRESS

Comfortable sports clothing is suggested for all skill levels.

Clean flat soled shoes are required.  Clean sneakers are acceptable.

WARM-UP EXERCISES

Warming up before any physical activity is always a good idea. Here's a brief warm up routine that will help get the blood flowing before the start of a game.

  1. 5 Squats

  2. Leg swings – 10 x both sides

  3. Alternate lunges – 10 x both legs

  4. Step forward left leg with right arm up x3

  5. Step forward right leg with left arm up x3

  6. Left arm across the body x4

  7. Right arm across the body x4

  8. Arm circles (start with small circles and gradually go bigger)

  9. Reverse arm circles (start with small circles and gradually go bigger)

  10. Shake arms forward and back

  11. Exercise fingers and wrists and shake hands
